We Believe In
Good Governance
Our Saskatchewan believes in good governance, that those serving in government best reflect the will of folks in the province. This means political finance reform is needed to help monitor and eliminate out-of-country donations and interference of any kind, as well as strong fines/penalties to offenders.

It also means that a government must consult with and listen not just to its political donors but to experts and the people of the province. As such, a Social/Health Policy Advisory Committee comprising non-partisan experts in their field, advocacy groups, and other concerned associations across Canada must be consulted before legislation is initiated to build up a body of research and justification for its existence.

Free Education and Health Care
Our Saskatchewan believes that health care and education should be of the best quality possible, public, and free for all residents. Solutions will be negotiated by the sitting government with the aforementioned Social/Health Policy Advisory Committee to create lasting solutions based on mutual respect, ideals, and the best outcomes possible. It also includes a framework for free post-secondary education for all Saskatchewan residents.

Fair Royalties and Subsidies
Our Saskatchewan demands that its economy follow the ideal of “the greatest good for the greatest number of people.” This means promoting the reform of resource royalty regimes to help ensure residents are getting the best possible compensation for our finite resources. It includes fairness for all sectors of the economy by reducing or eliminating existing corporate subsidies that only benefit the few. It requires we shoulder the burden, but also the opportunity, of a green transition which includes 100% energy self-sufficiency in the province, a reduced carbon footprint, and the creation of brand-new industries like the critical minerals sector. Finally, it ensures a living wage by increasing the minimum wage to $20/hour.

Fair Taxes
Our Saskatchewan ensures tax fairness for all. It includes harmonizing the PST with the GST and eliminating it from all basic necessities. It means the basic minimum amount an individual would start paying federal income tax would be above the gross yearly earnings of minimum wage. It envisions a guaranteed basic income to help reduce or eliminate the need for income-based social assistance programs.

Supports for Reconciliation
Our Saskatchewan absolutely demands the building of a new respectful and positive relationship with Indigenous communities. It will partner with communities and the federal government to ensure 100% access to Wi-Fi and internet, a steady base of power that will substantially reduce its costs for folks, access to fresh water and food sources, and open up the North via new roads and infrastructure. Cheap public transportation will be established for northern residents who need to or want to travel south. Finally, it will honour a commitment to increased representation in government, so its voice is explicitly heard, and self-governance if communities so choose.

Fairness For Farmers
Our Saskatchewan believes that residents of the province should be the primary owners of farmland in the province and that they should have the means and ability to make a quality life of it. This requires eliminating foreign-based ownership of farmland and capping the maximum number of acres any one entity can own at a single time. Reform of crop insurance and AgriStability is essential to ensure these programs are fair and equitable for all.

Freedom To Choose
Our Saskatchewan unequivocally and absolutely believes in the freedom of the individual from unnecessary and intrusive government interference. This means everyone is endowed with actual options to choose what they want to do with their bodies and how they should be addressed. The government has no standing to legislate its interpretation of morality that would limit or eliminate an individual’s personal choices. Freedom requires choice, even ones we may disagree with. That is the sacrifice we make and the virtue we all benefit from.

Helping People in Need
Finally, Our Saskatchewan means the right for everyone to have access to a quality of life or the services they require. Our provincial government must work with Ottawa (no matter who is in power) to ensure residents have legitimate access to housing, transportation, food, and help when in need. People are not a burden but our greatest resource. One individual who is helped in hard times may be the helper at other times. It does not matter how they voted, how much money they gave or have, what age/religion/gender/culture they are...we rise together.
